Swamptown Getdown Music Festival The 2nd Annual Swamptown Getdown Music Festival will be held at the Okefenokee Fair Grounds at 2451 Knight Ave., Waycross, GA, 31503 and is a celebration of music from all over the South Eastern US. With Country, Indie Rock, Americana, Jam, Bluegrass and points in between, STGD is sure to have something for everyone! ARMED FORCES DAY
It is a day to pay tribute to men and women who serve the United States’ armed forces. Armed Forces Day is also part of Armed Forces Week, which begins on the second Saturday of May.
The Turtle Crawl Triathlon & Nest Fest
Celebrates athleticism and ecology on Jekyll Island. Known as one of the most scenic triathlons on the East Coast, this USAT sanctioned event includes an Olympic Distance, Sprint Distance, and 5K Run. With so many options, there is something for athletes of every skill level. At the finish line, guests can take part in Nest Fest, educational activities and exhibits culminating with the release of rehabilitated sea turtle from the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. A portion of the event proceeds benefit the Georgia Sea Turtle Center. The 2012 Turtle Crawl Triathlon is produced by Set-up Events as part of their inaugural Georgia series. Epidural Classes
Epidural Classes – A common method of administering anesthesia during labor. It is inserted through a catheter threaded through a needle inserted into the dura space near the spinal cord. Classes are held in the Birthing Center conference room Monday through Thursday between the hours of 8:30 am. and 4 pm. at the convenience of the patient. No charge. To register, call 912 287 2686.
